The Fast Strides Learn to Speed Skate Program is designed for skaters who have already mastered fundamental skills and are ready to take the next step into the exciting world of speed skating.

Pre-season (A Group)
Pre-Season Advanced (A Group) Sessions
The Pre-Season Advanced A Group Program is a focused, one-hour weekly session designed to prepare advanced skaters for the upcoming speed skating season.

Note: For 2026-27, members not competing outside the Atlantic provinces are now only required to get the SSC/SSN "Club" membership ($15 + $15) due to a new agreement with SSC and the Atlantic provinces.
Entry standards per group
All visitors wanting to join sessions with A group must meet minimum A Group standards
Once groups are at capacity then no additional movement will be made. Athletes who are not at the skill, safety, or maturity level for B group will not be moved.
